DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced Monday that Lauren Eschenroeder of SCAD Savannah has been selected as The Sun Conference Player of the Week in volleyball for the week ending Nov. 6, 2011. This is the final player of the week award for volleyball this season.
The freshman middle hitter led the Bees to a perfect 2-0 record during the week. The Tarpon Springs, Fla. native tallied 11 kills and four blocks (one solo) in a 3-1 win over Warner. Eschenroeder also recorded 14 kills and four blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Webber International. For the week, Eschenroeder totaled 25 kills (.488 hitting percentage), eight total blocks (one solo), two digs and one service ace.
