DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Florida Memorial’s Kenyetta Davis earned The Sun Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week honors after leading the Lions to a 1-1 record during the week ending Dec. 13. Davis averaged 12 points, 4.5 rebounds and two assists. She shot .526 from the field and .750 from the three point line.
In her first game of the week, the senior guard turned in a 12-point, eight-rebound performance to lead Florida Memorial to a 56-32 win over Southeastern. Davis was 5-of-9 from the field and converted on her only three-point attempt of the game.
Against NCAA II Tampa, Davis scored 12 points once again on 5-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. She also had two steals and an assist as the Lions fell to the Spartans, 78-50.
