The EWC Tigers baseball team visited patients of The Lakeside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on January 17, 2009.
The patients were very excited to see the players. The players visited patients rooms and played games of bingo and cards with several of the patients. It was a very memorable experience. The patients spoke word of wisdom and encouragement to the young men. One patient spoke to the players saying " Acknowledge GOD and put him first in all you do, and he will give you the desires of your heart".
Those words will be a part of the Tigers heart for the rest of their lives. It will be a joy to the Tigers when the season opens with a battle with Voorhees College on February 1, 2009 @ 1:00pm, and several of the faces from Lakeside Nursing Center will be in the stands cheering the TIGERS to victory.
