ORLANDO, Fla. – As the season of giving approaches the Warner University baseball team was out providing meals for the homeless in Orlando, Fla. Saturday, November 14. The Warner baseball team teamed up with “Help for the Homeless” to assist in the passing out of over 150 meals to the homeless in Orlando.
This marked the second of three Saturday projects with the Lake Wales, Fla. based organization led by founder John Montford. The players worked alongside fellow volunteers boxing up hot meals and handing out non-perishable food items.
“Help for the Homeless” has been providing this same service in Orlando for the past 13 years. They also offer a variety of services for the homeless in the Lake Wales area.
