Sun Conference Releases 2010 Women's Basketball Tournament Bracket
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Sun Conference has announced the pairings for the 2010 Women’s Basketball Tournament, which is being hosted by Florida Memorial, Feb. 25-27. The tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship in Sioux City, Iowa Mar. 10-16.
Northwood topped the regular season standings with a 13-1 league record, earning the No. 1 seed in the tournament, which affords them a first-round bye. St. Thomas (11-3) is seeded second will face Johnson and Wales in the quarterfinals.
Host Florida Memorial is the No. 3 seed and their quarterfinal opponent will be sixth-seeded Edward Waters. Webber International and Warner are seeded fourth and fifth, respectively and will face each other in the opening round. The winner of that game will go up against Northwood in Friday’s semifinal.
