Senior Caitlin Noble Reaches 1000 Career Points

BABSON PARK, FL --- The Northwood University Women’s Basketball Team (18-7, 10-0 TSC) continued their conference dominance as they won their 11th game in a row 72-60 over Webber International University to remain perfect (10-0) in conference play.

Besides remaining undefeated in conference play, the Lady Seahawks had a momentous occasion happen this afternoon as senior Caitlin Noble passed the career 1000 points mark. Noble, who scored 14 points with six rebounds on the night, became the first basketball athlete to reach this historic mark in school history. There will be a special ceremony to commemorate her achievement prior to the start of the Lady Seahawk’s next home game on Friday, February 12th at 5:00 PM.
 
Fellow seniors Jay Cooley and Taylor Wencis had solid performances behind Noble. Wencis finished with a team high 18 points with six assists and Cooley fell just short of a double-double with 17 points with nine boards.  Junior Denise Derland would finish with a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) in the win.
 
The Northwood University Lady Seahawks will have the rest of the week to prepare for their last home weekend series as they take on Ave Maria on Friday and Warner University on Saturday. Friday’s game against Ave Maria will have a special recognition for Caitlin Noble’s 1000 point achievement prior to tip-off.
