STU Men's Soccer volunteered for Feed the homeless over the weekend

MIAMI, Fla. - The Men's Soccer team aided the local community this weekend by volunteering for the Feeding the homeless Project.  The team provided food and assistance at one of the largest homeless shelters in the area.

Coach Felix Mats assembled his team this weekend and traveled to downtown Miami in an effort to support the community's effort towards helping the large homeless population.  As part of the of the project, STU Soccer hosted fundraisers to raise money that was later spent on purchasing food, water oranges, and other necessities that these individuals are not accustomed to having.  The team also made sandwiches  and distributed throughout downtown Miami.

Coach Mats saw this as a great opportunity to provide for the community and promote team building in the same effort.  The Bobcats began practicing earlier last month and look forward to the 2010 season beginning next August.
