Embry-Riddle, Northwood to Represent Sun Conference on National Stage

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The men’s basketball teams from Embry-Riddle and Northwood will are set to begin competition at the 19th Annual Division II Men's Basketball National Championship. The tournament is being hosted by the College of the Ozarks for the 11th year in a row and will take place Mar. 10-16 at the Keeter Gymnasium in Point Lookout, Mo.

Embry-Riddle (28-5) won the eighth Sun Conference regular season title in program history and earned a spot in the field of 32 teams after capturing the conference tournament crown with a 55-53 victory over Northwood on Feb. 27. The Eagles are making their 11th trip to the national tournament and their first since the 2007-08 season when they were eliminated by Grace (Ind.) in the first round. ERAU is 13-9 all-time at the national tournament.

Northwood is making its fourth consecutive trip to national tournament after earning an at-large bid courtesy of its No. 11 rating in the final poll.  The 12th-seeded Seahawks join the Eagles in the top half of the bracket and will take on Spring Arbor (Mich.) at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
