MIRAMAR, Fla. – Keiser University won The Sun Conference Men’s Track & Field Championship which concluded Sunday at the Ansin Sports Complex.   It marked the first Men’s Track & Field Sun Conference championship in program history for the Seahawks.

Keiser finished the two-day event with 200 points to top second-place USCB (180).  Webber International (148) placed third with Warner (97) finishing fourth and even host Florida Memorial (82) fifth.

Keiser Head Coach Marc Small was named The Sun Conference Men’s Track & Field Coach of the Year.

Outstanding Track Athlete of the Year honors went to Jacob Nkamasiai who won the 10,000 meters on Saturday with a time of 32:04.25. 

Arthur Prevost won Field Athlete of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors.  Preovst won the Javelin (50.80 meters), while also tying for second in the pole vault (4.35 meters) and placing third in the long jump (6.41 meters)

Next up will be the 67th annual NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships to be held May 24-26 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
