Keiser Claims Fourth TSC Women’s Golf Title in Five Years

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.—Top-ranked Keiser claimed the 2019 Sun Conference Women’s Golf Championship, after it was denied a fourth-straight title last year.
 
The Seahawks recorded the low round of the day for the second straight round, posting the low round of the tournament on Tuesday with a five-over 293.
 
Samantha Fuller won medalist honors, leading wire-to-wire and finishing the 54-hole tournament at +4, closing with an even-par round of 72. Serra Evrengil also recorded a 72 and tied for fourth. Michela Tjan placed third with a total score of 224 (73-76-75).  Beata Suurwee was seventh at 227 (76-74-77), and Natalia Campbell was tied for 16th at 235 (81-80-74).
 
Second-ranked SCAD finished 11 shots back, and was led by Alessia Avanzo’s second-place finish, two shots behind Fuller (74-77-71-222). Paula Sofia Suarez and Maria Paula Otero tied for fourth and were both 1-over on Tuesday.
 
Southeastern finished third, 22 shots behind SCAD and were led by Ana Uribe’s eight-place finish at 228 (76-76-76). Sixth-ranked USCB edged out Coastal Georgia by four shots for fourth place. Vanessa Schloo paced the Sand Sharks in a tie for ninth (76-78-76-230) and Kylee Wheeler of the Mariners also tied for ninth (78-75-77-230).
